I can't tell you how much money is wasted on equipment because after receiving it you find out it makes your kit way to heavy. One case in particular comes to mind. I purchased a Benro #66 Carbon Fiber monopod which I like very much. I then purchased and inexpensive Giottos ballhead model MH1304-110c and a cheap plastic quick release. After using it for a while I realized the head and release was to weak for practical use. I was supplied another ball head to try, but this was way to heavy, but great for a tripod. I now ordered a Trek-Tech MagMount head with both light and heavy duty magnets. I am hoping that this unit will be acceptable.
My next item to talk about is how the on-board flash of my K100D Super creates photos with lots of shadows and uneven exposure. I tried using only available light, but didn't approve of the color cast of the photos. I decided to purchase Lumiquest Soft Screen from Adorama which should even out the lighting.
